The phone built for time, not notifications.
A concept device that flips the OS hierarchy. Your schedule is the home screen. Apps exist only to serve your time blocks.
The 82-time problem.
The average adult checks their phone 82 times a day. Not because they need to, but because the operating system is designed to demand attention. Badges, banners, and infinite feeds turn your most valuable asset—time—into inventory for advertisers.
CalendarPhone proposes a radical alternative: an OS where the calendar is the base layer. If it's not on the schedule, it doesn't get your attention.
"Time is what we want most, but what we use worst."
William Penn, 1682
Core principles.
We didn't just redesign the hardware. We rewrote the rules of engagement.
Calendar is Home
There is no grid of icons. Unlock the phone, and you see exactly what you planned to do right now. Apps are launched contextually from events.
Default Deny
Notifications are batched and delivered only during scheduled "Review" blocks. Emergency contacts bypass the filter; everything else waits.
E-Ink Display
A high-refresh monochrome display eliminates the slot-machine dopamine hit of bright colors, while extending battery life to 7 days.
